Fred Bruemmer, whose photography chronicled the lives of the Inuit and the Arctic, has died at the age of 84. My condolences to his son René, a longtime reporter at the Montreal Gazette, and the rest of the family. He published 27 books and many articles. His work in the Arctic ranks with that of Richard Weber and Farley Mowat.
